Okay, first? Wow. What an astounding debut. Congratulations Mr. Calame!
This review is just going to be a total author crush. I'm trying to think of critical things to say, but I'm coming up with nothin'. Well, except for the fact that I missed how old the kids are and spent some chunks of brainpower trying to figure it out.
But, what's age when everything else is just so wickedly fun?
The writing was fresh, real and oh-so-boy. I thought Calame nailed "boy" without going overboard on the funny, goo ...more

Picked this up yesterday at Woozles Bookstore, here in Halifax. I've been watching for it for a while, ever since someone compared my book SINKING DEEPER to SWIM THE FLY.
I've started reading it this morning. So far am loving it. The kind of read that pulls you right in - with just the proper hint of teenage smuttiness to attract the reluctant reader mid-teen male.
