ARI AND DANTE YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE STARS IN THE WORLD.
Okay - Now that I'm not in the middle of crying in public while finishing this book, here is my review:
This book is everything. I did not expect to be so connected and feel so much during this book. I don't think I have ever read a book that has made me feel to the extent this book did. This was a lovely little coming-of-age story, set in a world that I haven't read a lot about (a mostly-Latino neighbourhood in El Paso, Texas). I liked getting through the hard exterior of Ari, and instantly loved everything about Dante. Maybe we're all a bit Ari, and should all be a bit more Dante. Their friendship is wonderful, and I loved seeing their families become closer as a result.

The romance is not what the novel is about, its about "discovery" :~) ... Great novel! Rushed a little at the end, but this is truly my only gripe. Enjoyed it a lot!

Beautifully written but I was hoping for more. Not sure but Ari's "realization" of his identity, it seemed forced. Still a good YA read!
