There's been talk of a modern day film version of this book currently in production set in Afghanistan produced by Bear Grylls. The names of the Talent not yet released. If Sasha Baron Cohen is not cast as the Count I'll lose my mind. Personally I kept imagining the late Peter Sellers as the Count.
This book is wonderful because it's what happens when a playwright writes a novel. Dumas adapted this novel for his stage at his Theatre Historique. The play version premiered the 3rd of Feb, 18 ...more

Carries good themes and is quite immersive.
4,5. The colour drained from my face many times as I read this book.
