The second George Eliot book I've read, it was good, but not as great as Middlemarch. There were a couple of coincidences that occurred which were a bit much in my opinion. The Gwendolen/Grandcourt/Deronda storyline was great, whereas the Mirah/Mordecai/Deronda storyline was just OK.
