Yeehaw, I'm done!! Wow, what a journey that was. I admit that I'm terrible at writing reviews, so even attempting to write a review about this magnificent work is going to be like me bringing a few pop rocks to a professionally staged going all out never-ending fireworks display and synced music to go with. In other words - pathetic. ha ha.

4.5 stars, rounding up to 5 because I'm afraid if I don't the book will get angry and squash me like a bug.
This is an extraordinarily hard book to review, even more so because I am stuck in a hotel room in Maryland and have to write the whole review on my phone. So in honor of the lovely people in the hotel bar, I offer my Mixologist Review:

Underlying these 1200+ pages beats the fierce, passionate heart of Moore.
Yes, it's about Northampton, and is graced with some of the most fascinating inhabitants and places/existences you will encounter anywhere. But it is also a written embodiment of Moore, who lays bare his soul - word after word. It is about the past, the present, and the future. It is about actions and their consequences. It is about love, grief, longing, joy, despair, hope, and redemption.

Jerusalem is probably one of the most interesting novels that I've read in quite a while. It's an experimental novel and a chronicle of Alan Moore's childhood home. It deals with the demons of the Goetia, Asmodeus in particular. At one point it turns into young adult fiction along the lines of The Golden Compass and The Chronicles of Narnia, following the individual stories of an undead group of children named the Dead Dead Gang.
