This Valentines Day I fell in Love with Jennifer L. Armentrout. I had been hearing through the grapevine about JLA an one particular grape has been rather loud about her work. So with all the faith that Kay @ K-books knows what she is talking about I picked up Obsidian first chance I had to read one of "my choice" reads. And now I can officially jump on Ms. Armentrout's space ship and enthusiastically follow her anywhere...

Obsidian is the first book in the YA paranormal Lux series.

I have read many books by this author. But for some reason I had never read this series.

The narrator is 17 year old Katy (1st person POV). She has just moved to West Virginia with her mom. She moves next door to twins Daemon and Dee.

I was very curious about Daemon right from the start. He was arrogant, yet protective. I was also extremely curious about the paranormal element, which doesn't come into play at the start. Also the romance do ...more

Wow. Obsidian literally blew me away. I've been wanting to read this book for some time and I'm so glad I did! I adored this book, no scratch that I absolutely LOVED it! It may just possibly be one of my favorite books of all-time. The plot was amazing, it was something that wasn't over done and isn't written much about.
