Oh goodness I have yet another book that so deserves a good review like right now, but alas I will have to postpone it. But for those of you who are fans of Percy Jackson do pick it up. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Much better than "The Red Pyramid," but not quite up to par with the best Percy Jackson books. "The Lost Hero" is an exciting return to Greek (and now Roman) mythology. Unlike "The Red Pyramid," this book features a cohesive, unconvoluted storyline and characters you can actually care about. It took me a while to get used to the narrator's vocal style: some of his inflections and pronunciations pulled me out of the story. I did eventually get into it, though, and I think I'll be good for further books. My rating for this particular version would be a 4.5 but since there are no half stars I put it at 4 since I rated the other copy I read a solid 5.

The Lost Hero has a slightly different feel than the Percy Jackson books (it's written in a third person POV), but it's every bit as exciting and edge-of-your-seat adventure.
