No recordaba cuánto me gustaban las fábulas.
Todo mexicano ha leído algunas fábulas famosas porque en los libros de la SEP siempre se incluían algunas. Recuerdo bastante el de la cigüeña y la zorra, así como el hombre con el hijo y con la mula.

Al leer nuevamente las fábulas, en las que fueron incluías en la SEP, recordaba claramente las ilustraciones con las que se acompañaron los textos. Leer fue como subirme a una máquina del tiempo y recordar otro libro y otra época. Mis ganas de leer. La avi

It's amazing to me how many of these fables are still in the collective consciousness after so many centuries, especially the pithy ending sentences.

It's also fun to note how many of the stories are contradictory.

Short tales but a large number. Many are very similar. Works best if taken just a few at a time. (My edition is not listed.)

One value that Aesop sure did not embrace was creativity. This man was against or maybe even afraid of changes.
