(I reviewed the first three books in this series as a whole, so my review will be the same for books 1 - 3)
The Mortal Instruments. What can I say? I mean besides stating the obvious: This is a MUST read! The first three books in this six part series are just phenomenal. Cassandra Clare creates a world so unlike anything I have ever read before. It is completely original, exciting, and intriguing. This book was, in a word, long. I mean so unnecesarily long. I gave it a 3 because of the characters. And the ending! Fortunatly, Cassandra Clare cooled off with the analagies. They were still plentiful, but less than City of Bones. I suggest you read it and see what you think. It is a nice story, but the writing was alright. Anyway, I'm reading City of Glass now, which so far is THE BEST STORY IN THE SERIES! So far its a fast paced, interesting, book. SO HURRY UP AND FINISH CITY OF BONES AND CI
