What Members Thought
It was good. The writing was boring.
There are some books that have too much dialogue and then there are some books that have too much descriptions and then there are some books that have the PERFECT balance of both. This was one of the books that have TOO MUCH DESCRIPTION! And you would think with all of that that the book would be HALF-WAY UNDERSTANDABLE! The Mortal Instruments. What can I say? I mean besides stating the obvious: This is a MUST read! The first three books in this six part series are just phenomenal. Cassandra Clare creates a world so unlike anything I have ever read before. It is completely original, exciting, and intriguing. This was actually a pretty good book. It started off like any other typical paranormal book but picked up about half way through. The second half was a thrill and defiantly took some twists and turns I did't see coming. Now I am pretty excited to read the second book to see how some of these complications will unfold. Clare does a good job with the character development. City of Bones was a easy and fun read. I look forward to reading the rest of this series as well as the parallel series.

I loved this book until the twist near the end. Then it became kinda weird and creepy. Not sure how the love triangle will go on from here. Excited for the movie to come out soon!
