★★★★★ What can I say about this story other than a classic Julie Garwood book still delivers? I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve read this one; thought I’d try the audiobook this time. The narration, by Rosalyn Landor, brings this book to life. I’ll be seeking out more of her audiobooks.

Re-read again and still loving this fun, medieval romance and all those sexy Highlanders:)!

My first Julie Garwood book and I get why so many people list her among their favs. Alec and Jamie made for a very interesting story.
Alec is forced to marry one of Barron Jamison's daughters after losing his wife in a mysterious accident. Barron Jamison tries to keep his "favorite" daughter out of Alec's sight. With some help from Jamison's staff, Alec sees the beautiful, violet eyed Jamie and picks her.
