Drew Karpyshyn's "Revan" is not the best Star Wars book I have read. It is, in fact, my least favorite so far, although part of the problem may lie with the fact that it is based on or inspired by a video game series with which I am unfamiliar. Apparently, "Knights of the Old Republic" is an old-school video game that was immensely popular among the gaming set. (Indeed, gamers I know say that this game was the pinnacle of gaming excellence. I can't verify that, as I've never played it.)

Liked this novel more than the previous ones I have read. The story seemed to move along more quickly, there were fewer characters to follow which allowed for more engagement with them.
As with the previous novels I have read I enjoyed the small glimpses you get into both the Jedi order and the Sith.
The appearance of the "Emperor" was also a highlight. Is it the EMPEROR or just an emperor from a long line.
The novel also concludes with an air of mystery regarding Revan & Lord Scourge. What happens ...more

Not the best EU novel, but it certainly is worth reading to fill in the white spaces in the history of Revan's journey in Unknown Regions.
