A great introspection of Jaina Solo's character so shortly after the death of her brother Anakin, and the disappearance of her brother Jacen. Essentially, this novel finds Jaina dealing with three major issues in conjonction with what has happened to her family: a) apprenticeship to Kyp Durron, b) the Hapan throne c) a possible, but dark side, weapon against the Yuuzhan Vong who are hunting her. She figures everything out by the end, and the author reveals many things about Jaina in the process.

Remember that one book where Kyp Durron was sexy and mysterious and appealing, in spite of being a mass murderer? Yeah, me too. I miss those days.
This book was kinda different then the others I've read. I really enjoyed it. This book made me really like Kyp and Jag.
