This was a great historical romance. Honoria was an interesting female lead. I like how it emphasized how cruel and harsh it was for woman in that time period. Society basically made it impossible for woman to avoid becoming a prostitute. It's a sad truth. It was bad for women to work or have a profession. By protecting women society made them become part of a work force that it frowned upon.

Nice new series!!
I loved the hero soo much, he was awesome. The heroine was a bit too martyr-sh and prim and proper but that was a given because of the way she was raised. Even the whole cast of characters intrigued me, making me look forward to reading about them.

Must say I really liked this book. I liked the interplay between the H/H and the side characters as well. Interesting world building about vampires and werewolfs too. It dragged a little in the middle but overall a very well done first book in series. I will definitely read more by this author and this series!

McMaster is a new author for me and I wasn't expecting much. I also don't give out 5 star ratings often. I LOVED it!!! I can usually predict what will happen and she took me by surprise!
