I was and still am a die hard Twilight fan and I've seen many knock offs that just didn't measure up. When I saw this book advertised I figured this would be another B-rated story. I was pleasantly surprised to find the story and characters intriguing. The story was unique but the draw between Sofia and Derek had the same type of chemistry and feel that Twilight had. I was given this book for an honest review. Would have read it anyway. This story is a quick read but packs a surprising amount of action and drama. The characters are fleshed out about as well as can be expected for a story of this length. I have read some reviewers complain about "instalove" but I did not find that to be an obvious fatal flaw in this story. It worked well with the story line and didn't feel forced to me.
