'3.5 Stars'

Though a romantic suspense, it was not captivating. Characters were kinda dull at the beginning, and I liked Fox (The Hollow, second book from Sign of Seven's hero.) more than Cal, who's only a small part of the book. Therefore, I look forward to reading the sequel, and hopefully, it’ll have better love scenes than this one had. I’m not disappointed, but I had expected more from a well-known, best-selling author like Nora Roberts.

I have had this on my mind to read for a while..after reading her Circle Trilogy...and I am so glad that I picked up the audio book to listen to on my latest road trip. What a great book! I can't wait to see what is in store for the other couples. I don't have any more road trips coming up for a while, so I'll pick up the actual books, but I did enjoy the audio version of this one if you're looking for a good audio book. I am not sure exactly what it is about this one I was not crazy about. Maybe it was just that the romance happens so quickly (stangers to "I love you" in a month). It was a strong plot and characters and interesting concept and I will read the other two books but it just was not exactly a wow book for me ...more

This was my first Nora Roberts' novel. I liked it, especially the paranormal aspects. I am still trying to figure out how they are going to defeat Twisse. However, there were certain parts that seem to drag. Those areas made me put the book down and read other things. That is what took me so long to finish it. I will finish the trilogy, but I will probably take a short break and read some other things in between. I hope the other two novels are more engrossing. ...more
