Let me just start off by saying this series has been on my Kindle forever!! I was inspired to finally give it a try by a GR friend who recently read it. I saw in her review she said she was 6 years late and I was like woah, 6 years? If I don't start this book now I'm going to be 7 or 8 years late and that didn't sit well with me. I have had mixed success with Kristen Ashley books in the past. I have no idea why they are hit or miss with me when she is so beloved by everyone else on the planet but I'm happy to say this book was a success. One thing that KA does well are alpha male leads and that is my favorite kind of male character. Lee Nightingale was no exception. He was hot, possessive, and very jealous but most of all protective. I couldn't get enough of him. He really made this book worth the read!

India Savage aka Indy, on the other hand was a mess! She optimizes everything that is stupid in the world. She was annoying and as stated in the book a total "CALAMITY JANE"!! No matter how many times Lee tried to protect her and tell her to stay in a safe place she always and I mean ALWAYS found her way into trouble. She seriously has to be one of the stupidest female heroines that I've ever read and her sidekick best-friend Ally is just as bad. There were multiple times that I would have kicked Indy in the head if I could have. Indy and her escapades that seemed to drag on forever are the only reason that this book didn't receive 5 stars from me.

This book was definitely funny. I found myself laughing out loud at the cluster-fuck of quirky characters. Yes I used the word cluster-fuck because frankly I have no idea how else to describe these people. This book is worth the read just for some of these characters alone.

I hear that this series only gets better after the first book or two so I'm definitely going to continue this series. I dread dealing with more of Ally and Indy's nitwit escapades but I know KA will make it worth it with her male leads!
