OMG!This book was a roller-coaster ride and I can't wait for the next installments. We learn so much of what made Lothaire who he is, feared, evil, we learn about Nix, Kristoff and so much more. There were moments I wanted to smack Lothaire, he was so dense and a jerk but in the end you still are happy for him. The heroine was totally awesome. ...more

In my mind, Lothaire has been the ultimate bad boy for the IAD. He’s clearly 100% evil villain and no matter what nefarious plots he's carried out I'm always metaphorical swooning on my feet for him. So to say the wait for this book has been unbearable is a terrible understatement. After finishing it I can clearly state that Cole is still my poison of choice! However, this book wasn't what I expected. For a character like Lothaire though, it would be tough to get it (him) just right. However, st

This book surprised me, in a good way!
I remember reading the summary and not being too impressed. (Especially since that kind of plotline means some kind of long separation, and it sort of did in this book.) But since I kept hearing people rave about it, especially about the craaazy and bad boy Lothaire, I gave it a try. Much to my surprised, I enjoyed the characters (even the heroine!). I loved how the two of them kept fighting/bantering(?).

I really like bad heroes, really bad ones..Lothaire is a son of a bi**** a real one,but so difficult to hate..
This series keeps on interesting me, not like others, Kresley Cole gives us in every book a different story and another side of the big story..every book is related and different at once, which is great and very hard to do (i guess, seeing how other series loose their thing along the way,you know, the books seem the same over and over...not this one, for me at least).

I had been waiting for Lothaire's story since beginning this series. He was the all powerful, elusive one that all intrigued me. I loved this character, and his book didn't disappoint. Lothaire has finally found his bride in Saroya, a death goddess. However, she is currently possessing the body of Elizabeth Pierce, a mere human of less than stellar means. After Saroya's blood-thirsty rampages leave Elizabeth looking at deathrow, Lothaire intervenes in order to save his bride. Capturing Elizabeth

One of my favorite quotes in the book is from Crazy-Nix (if you don’t know who Nix is, you need to read this series; she’s one character that Kresley needs to write a book for). “You gave her your heart, and she gave you the bird.” Nïx sighed. “Songs will be written about this.”
This book has become one of my favorites of the series, which is why it’s getting five stars. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has read the series before and to an ...more
