I really was into this story at the beginning but as I continued to read the story really fell flat for me. Lothaire was pretty much immature ass throughout the story. One minute you'd think he was going to redeem himself and than the next BAM an ass again. Hey I like my man a little bit of a ahole but after a while it gets annoying. I missed seeing alot of the characters from previous stories in this. It would have been nice when Elizabeth was at the Mansion that you would have seen lets say Em I really was into this story at the beginning but as I continued to read the story really fell flat for me. It would have been nice when Elizabeth was at the Mansion that you would have seen lets say Emma talk to her about how men can be total beeps beeps but eventually redeem themselves. Why did Elizabeth have to really deal with all those questions herself? For those that have read the book I am sure you understand why I am saying :) I understand that Cole is setting up for a new Series but COME ON!!!!! I love all the characters in this series but Lothaire, gotta say throughout this series he's always been a fav but now after reading his story not so much. It was all about him. I felt like Elizabeth was just a character in the background. It was very annoying!

Didn't like the Elizabeth's change either. I thought it was incredibly rude and obnoxious. I actually liked Dorada after getting to know her a little bit. The whole Dacia thing is going to be interesting. Eh not sure if I really care about them or not. Even like Lothaire said if they are going to stay hidden wth is the point? Another thing the whole split person(s) in one persons body, eh that got old real fast. Lothaire couldn't have been that stupid? Maybe he could he was into himself way more than anyone else. It would have been nice to see him act different at the end, more mature and loving. Just didn't feel like that for me. IDK I know others adored this book but eh not so much for me. It just got way to out there for me. I still love this series don't get me wrong but I can see characters just losing their wow factor. What the heck happened to Declan ? We never get to see him just hear about his stupid memories and his blood tie and blah blah blah. Love Regina as always. Nix hmm who thinks she'll hook up with Thad? I could see it happen. He'll have to get her out of her stupor. IDK maybe its just me but we know he is going to start playing a role in these up coming stories. Could be wrong time will tell! ...more

I was so freaking excited going into LOTHAIRE, because I had heard such good things about this book and it's Lothaire. He is so hot and the bad boy. So, I was all, "Let's get this party started!" But instead of this book being all awesome and epic, it was so not.

The plot was interesting enough, it's just that I didn't like it. I didn't like that there was this goddess, Saroya inside of Ellie, the heroine and Lothaire thinks that this Saroya is his bride instead of Ellie, even though Nix has pred I was so freaking excited going into LOTHAIRE, because I had heard such good things about this book and it's Lothaire. He thought since he visited Ellie when she was fourteen and had no connection or nothing happened that it was a fluke. She's still a kid, of course not, dimwit. And Lothaire wants to cast Ellie's soul out of her body.

Oh.my.god. there are so many things wrong with that plot. I haven't really read a Kresley Cole book where the plot was just so ridiculous, I think I was caught off guard. I hated that Lothiare is in complete denial, because he is prejudice against humans and I think he didn't want his bride to be human so much that he wanted Saroya to be it for him, because she is a goddess and worthy of a vampire such as him.

Her lips parted. She was now a vampire, and he was still treating her like shit. It’s never gonna end. An eternity of living with this arrogant ass?

I think that Lothiare treated Ellie so bad that it is beyond forgiveness. And when they finally are together. He still controls and takes away her will. Turns her against her will, without even being able to talk it out with her. I understand why he wanted to turn her, but he could've talked to her. And, also him always saying he will make all and every decision for Ellie and that Ellie and him will never be equals. That pissed me off beyond words.

All I saw through the whole book was that Lothaire was a complete jackass. Thus, I couldn't enjoy the book fully. I mean he was so arrogant that he thought he was better than her in all ways. But I did enjoy this book a tiny bit. The love scenes and I loved Ellie cussing Lothaire out for controlling her, and also the ending, And that Lothaire gave Ellie the gift of sunlight. There were some good things, but this definitely was not a favorite. Hopefully, the next will be better. ...more
