while I liked Pamela Clares other series i didn't like this one. For me it wasn't the heroine almost being rape two or three times or the violence in the book. It was the heroine herself. She was so stupid. About 100 pages in I couldn't stand her. This may be wrong and I'm sorry but I was kinda hoping she did get rape. That was how much I didn't like her. Great starter to series. Ms. Claire paints a vivid picture of these three braw Scottish brothers, I can almost see the twinkle in their eye and their claymores in their hands as they battle their foes. I loved their little digs when addressing Wentworth by their adaptation of his title ... "Your Gracefulness" . Those situations gave me a good chuckle. Heading right on to book2. ...more
