For over a month I have been writing and re-writing my review of Magic bleeds in my head. Last night as I was trying to sleep, I had the perfect review written, it was unfolding beautifully, words dancing around in my head with little effort. I should have gotten up to write it then, instead of waiting until it disappeared... Pregnancy insomnia at its finest, leaving you unable to sleep, but also, reluctant to physically get out of bed.

I can't tell you how sad I am that this is the last of Andrews's published novels for this series (available, there are at least three more expected). I wanted to read it slowly, I really did. But no, I stayed up way too late and then started back up first thing this morning. But what can you do?
This fourth installment of the Kate Daniels series is very exciting. Total edge-of-your-seat entertainment. And ... get ready for it ... ROMANCE! Yes, romance lovers, we're finally gettin' somewhere. And ...more

Dear You,
WHY DID I EVEN AGREE TO READ THIS???!! I'm so serious! I don't know why! Why did I agree to read this when I knew, I KNEW, I KNEW that the next book wasn't out and I'd have to wait for it? That could take years! I wanted to pace myself and look what happened - no pacing. I read it over two days. I tried slowing down but to no avail. I just had to know what would happen next. Now I'm done, I loved it, and there's nothing more to read. Argh! This is why I don't like series!!! Torture, swe ...more

I liked the book, obviously since I read all the 4 in a few days of a marathon. And luck for me that 5th is coming out next month! ^O^
I liked that the relationship with Curran progressed slowly, that way we get a good plot that isn't all romance, we have a main guy that doesn't just jump her bones from the beginning (Ahhhpp*Anita Blake*chuu), and so in every book we have some romance. Great mix, just the right amounts of every thing.

This series is a little different from what I usually read just because it incorporats a lot of fantasy with the supernatural elements of the book. I don't read a lot of straight fantasy but once I got used to the magic aspect and the world Ilona Andrews has created, I really enjoyed it. I also like this series a lot because Kate is such a kick-ass heroine. I had an intense dislike for the hero, Curran, in the first book of this series, but as the books continued, he grew on me. I enjoyed the re

By far, my most favorite read of the year to date! I've actually already re-read it twice. This series just continues to improve. Kate, Curran - perfection! I'm just sad that I have to wait so long for the next in the series.

I loved how Kate's and Curran's relationship has finally reached a new level, how we learn a little more about both of them, their pasts and their families, and the direction the story is taking!
