This was a great book all sorts of things happen which will make it hard to review without letting them slip. The book starts out with the infamous dinner date between Kate and Curran, but it is Kate and Curran so you know things never go as planned, as so it goes from there.
Kate verbally spars with Curran for much of the book and when she isn't doing that, she is actually fighting him and I don't know which one is better, unless it is when they start to compromise.

My love affair with this series is showing no signs of faltering. I still can't believe it took me so long to pick up this series!
Having adored the way the last book ended with the promise of a naked dinner, I was so disappointed with the how this one began. I really felt for Kate (who remains one of my all-time favourite heroines). It was great to see such a realistic and human response from her.
I thought later in the piece that the author was going to do that thing that I hate in roma ...more

I love, love, love, LOVE Ilona Andrews! And Kate Daniels has to be one of my favorite heroines of ANY genre. When I came home with this book I barricaded myself in the bedroom so that I could read without disruption. To quote my roommate..."Please! Finish that book! Once Kate's out of the way, maybe I can talk to you again!" Yes, my friends, this series is THAT good. It's simply known as Kate.
Now my problem is that I have to wait FOREVER for the next chapter in the Kate Saga. ::sniffle:: ...more

Wow is the word that comes to mind when I think of "Magic Bleeds" by Ilona Andrews! The fourth installment and fifth story based in the Kate Daniels series was just a fantastic, emotional, and action packed book that made it difficult to put down once I started reading it!
So much happened in this book. So many lines drawn, so many gains, so many losses, and a lot of unexpected surprises appeared in the storyline. Loved Kate with her wit and her bravado, and I loved all the usual characters, par ...more

Dear You,
WHY DID I EVEN AGREE TO READ THIS???!! I'm so serious! I don't know why! Why did I agree to read this when I knew, I KNEW, I KNEW that the next book wasn't out and I'd have to wait for it? That could take years! I wanted to pace myself and look what happened - no pacing. I read it over two days. I tried slowing down but to no avail. I just had to know what would happen next. Now I'm done, I loved it, and there's nothing more to read. Argh! This is why I don't like series!!! Torture, swe ...more

I was enjoying this series until this book. Now I LOVE this series. Curran and Kate made me laugh quite a few times with their courtship. When he glued her to the chair. Loved how Kate refused to leave the shifters to deal with her Aunt by themselves. Her boss at the Order was a real ass. I knew at the end (view spoiler)

By far, my most favorite read of the year to date! I've actually already re-read it twice. This series just continues to improve. Kate, Curran - perfection! I'm just sad that I have to wait so long for the next in the series.
