Another stellar offering by the writing duo Ilona Andrews. This fourth in the series, which hasn't gone stale on my yet, features Middle Eastern lore, the appearance of Kate's deadly and ancient aunt Erra, and the official coupledom of Kate and Curran.

This is my favorite urban fantasy series, no contest. I love Kate, love Curran, love the world-building, love everything about it. Andrews never disappoints, and this installment in the Kate Daniels series is no exception. In fact, everything just gets better. I know, this is a squeeeee-fangirl review and not exactly an informative review for readers, but lets face it, if you're this far in the series you probably love it too and don't need a bunch of reasons from me as to why it's so great. So

Book 5 in the Kate Daniels series
Wow! My favorite so far!! I can’t wait to read the next one, which comes out in May 2011. I love the world that Ilona Andrews has created and I love all the characters- especially Kate. She is the toughest heroine out there. I have no doubt she could kick any other heroine’s butt!
Kate is trying to solve who keeps trying to unleash plagues and diseases in and around Atlanta. The reports are conflicting. It’s a man. It’s a woman. What she does know is that whenever ...more

This book was byfar my favorite of the series. I love that there was more Kate and Curran. Personally can't get enough of them. I like that Kate is finally learning to trust and giving Curran a chance to show that he'll stand by her just like she does him. I also loved that Kate didn't back down when challenged while Curran was unconscious. Interesting about Hugh hiring the protector for Kate. What does that mean? Whose side is Hugh on?

These books just get better and better. Magic Bleeds is by far the best. Things in Kate's life are happening and its certainly fascinating.
Well written, well thought out, well presented. Just an excellent read all around. ...more

I've really enjoyed this series a lot. This book ties up a lot of loose ends and sets the stage for a whole new batch of problems in the next, and so it's satisfying. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys urban fantasy, fantasy in general, or even mysteries with a little romance tossed in.
