Excellent read. I liked this Midnight Breed story much better than the previous one [Andreas:]. My complaint about that one was personal, I don't care for plots where the h/h's motivation is [massive:] death of friends/family.

This is Kade's book, the Order has very little presence until almost the end of the book. [I did miss their camaraderie and the appearance of other Order members and mates.:] He's a relative newcomer to the Order sent to Alaska [where he is originally from:] to deal with a

Damn I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. I absolutely love this series. I loved Kade and Alex. They had my stomach in knots. You have to read this book, the entire series for that matter. Now we have to wait until the fall for the next book in the series. I'm guessing it's going to be Brock and Jessica's story but this one should be even more interesting now that Jess has spent time with the Ancient One. This was another entertaining Midnight Breed story. Reichen and Claire are still my favorite couple of this series. However, Alex and Kade had a wonderful love story as well.

I really like this series so was surprised that I was a little disappointed in this one and not really sure what the cause of it is. I think that maybe it is the couple themselves, they just didn't quite cause me to care a whole lot for them. I found I was more interested in Kade's story with his brother than that of him and Alex. I liked seeing him go home and the interaction with all of his family. Even the hunt for the Ancient and Dragos wasn't all that interesting in this book. Hopefully the ...more

3.5 stars on my list; a decent book. But not a great one. Nothing specific wrong with it, in fact there was a lot that was great in this installment. I certainly am now looking forward to the next book in this series due to the last-minute cliffhanger. But I have to say, the similarities to Ward's BDB series keeps popping up and shoving me off track even tho this book had less of it than others. Eh. ...more
