First of all, let me rant. I cannot believe that there are no more Travises books after this one!!!! How is that possible? Please write more! You can't leave us hanging, what about Joe?!?!?!

Felt good to get that off my chest, now where do I start? Oh yeah... JACK ! He.Is.Just.Not.Real! This man is the personification of every HOT thing I've always wanted in a man! He is so perfect he can't be real, this guy just cannot exist! He is successful on his own right, even though his family has money First of all, let me rant. He is so perfect he can't be real, this guy just cannot exist! He is successful on his own right, even though his family has money; he's the bad boy playboy because he is still looking for the one woman he can trust and spend the rest of his life with.

I could talk about Jack for hours it seems like, maybe it's his alpha/dominant/take charge attitude, or the fact that he would wake up in the middle of the night to see to a baby that's not even his because he wants you to sleep, or the fact that he would put you first before any business or other family. Maybe it has something to do with his hot body and the fact that he knows EXACTLY what to do with it to leave a woman completely satisfied. Did I mention this book is off the charts in the hotness scale? I was quite surprised by the amount of HOTTTT sex in this book, definitely the most I've read in a Kleypas novel. And I'm not complaining!!!

But enough about my newest obsession. I won't sit here and give you a summary of the book because, quite frankly, YOU HAVE TO READ IT, you don't know what you're missing! But I will tell you that aside from Jack being the most perfect thing in God's green earth :LMAO but seriously, he is: I thought the storyline was great, I was happy it wasn't as emotionally draining as Haven and Hardy's. And speaking of my second favorites, they had plenty of cameos in this book which was great!

Ella is a tough woman, she's gone and done something with her life, even after being brought up by a mother that really shouldn't be allowed near children (or adults for that matter). Yeah, she's a little messed up in the head, but deep inside she knows what she wants. And I'm just happy she got it and then some! Yes, I'm back to Jack... This series, more than most, must be read in order. Perhaps the same might be said of my reviews of the series, but it isn't necessary.

I liked the heroine, but do not feel that Lisa Kleypas did a good job of explaining her motivations. In the beginning, she was in the middle of a relationship that I could not understand at all. Wow! Lisa Kleypas can WRITE! She NEVER disappoints and Smooth Talking Stranger is no exception to this rule! I was very concerned when she took the leap into contemporary romance. Her historicals are "crazy good" and I dare say legendary, and why mess with perfection. I shouldn't have worried. The Travis family is one of the most compelling and interesting families out there. Read them all (in order): Sugar Daddy, Blue Eyed Devil, and now Smooth Talking Stranger.

Sorry I didn't like this book at all. It heard so many great things about this book but it was highly disappointing.

I don't know if I and the other reviewer's read the same book. Jack Travis is the most boring and one dimensional romance novel hero I've ever read. Lisa Kleypas was trying to make him into one of those alpha-jealous-possessive heroes, which she failed to do unfortunately. There are too many sex scenes with tacky details. In my opinion, this was the hottest of the three books. Lisa Kleypas has some of the wittiest dialogue between Jack and Ella. Loved this story even though the plot was not as deep as Sugar Daddy or as serious as Blue Eyed Devil, I thoroughly enjoyed this installment and hope that Kleypas graces us with another book in this series for Joe. She sure sets it up for Joe to be showcased next. I will continue to read Lisa Kleypas, no matter what she writes!
