I love books about vampires. JR Ward's BDB, Lara Adrian's Midnight Breeds.....even Twillight. I thought I had read everything there was to read concerning vampires, but I was wrong. Halfway to the Grave puts a new spin on the vampire genre, and it's a spin that has me hooked and eager to read the rest.....
First off, Cat is not a weak lady in need of a vampire. In fact, she kills vampires! She is one tough lady (half human/half vampire), and Halfway to the Grave starts out with her "hunting". I ...more

I read Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost for the first time in 2020 for a Reading Challenge. I never got around to reading the rest of the series, but in 2024, I’m determined to finish it, especially since I’m in a PNR/UF mood.
Single/Dual POV: Single POV (Female Protagonist)
I’m glad I decided to reread (or, in this case, relisten via GraphicAudio) this book. I loved this book the first time around, and I loved it the second time around. The st ...more

Ok, time to see what all the fuss is about with this Cat and Bones. *cracks knuckles, puts on reading glasses, opens book*

So I figured I'd love Bones. But what I didn't figure is how much I LOVE Cat. I can relate to her. Not that I'm some bad ass or ever would be, but she's got a real substance to her. And sometimes the dev ...more

This was a great urban fantasy or paranormal romance (? I always get them confused ? ). It kept me up late, and had me scrambling to finish the next morning. The Cockney accent that the audiobook narrator gives Bones is a bit distracting from his steaminess - but I was forewarned about that. (It makes him sound a bit like Tiny Tim).
