I love the Lords of the Underworld series, so I hoped I’d love this series straight off...not so much. The world-building aspects of the book work great for me, but the characters fell flat. I just couldn’t buy into the romance with so much animosity between Darius and Grace. They seemed to go from disliking and distrusting each other to being each other’s soul mate in a nanosecond.
