FABULOUS!!!!! I absolutely loved this book and am so very thankful to my friend K. ODoharty for giving me the nudge I needed to pick it up and read it because it had sat on my to-read shelf for far too long!

Here are some things you need to know about this book:

Drustan MacKeltar is a Highland laird from the 16th Century and he is one hunky, drop-dead gorgeous, kilt-wearing hero!! AND, shall I mention that he wears his kilt ‘traditional style’.. if you catch my meaning. ;) Anyway, a spell is cast

This one is on the high side of four stars for me. I haven't been reading the series in order but this is my favorite so far. Drustan is truly a dream hero, sexy and smart and vulnerable too! He makes an amazing choice at the end to be with the woman he loves. This is one Keltar lairds who effects his own destiny without some magical entity pulling the strings. I also like the heroine, Gwen's, intelligence and courage. I don't think there's much I didn't like about this book. The nerd in me was ...more

So after finishing Dreamfever with that hell-ish cliffhanger I was recommended the Highlander Series by Karen Marie Moning. And I must tell you I was reluctant to read them at first, but now I am stolen. These hot Mackelter men just makes you wish you were the one dropped into their century. These are one of those time traveling novels which I didn't know if I would like but I loved it! I admit it was a bit slow in the beginning, but it picked up after the first few chapters.

"I want purple trews," for some reason that is one line in this book that sticks out in my head and just makes me giggle. I loved that Drustan! He mad me laugh almost as much as he mad me hot. Gwen was a great, hilarious and witty character as well and even though there were parts of their journey that made my gut knot with sadness, there was so much joy in this story! I really love this series, I can't believe I'm just now reading it! On to Drustan's twin...I have a feeling I'm going to like Da ...more

I'm still liking the series....though there are a few common things I'm finding with each book. 1, I've yet to really like any of the heroines...that could just be how they're narrated and they all follow the same pattern in the end...

But...one good pattern is they're super sexy, hot and romantic!
