This book was a great addition to the series. I have never really like Rehvenge, but did feel for the situation that he was in. After learning more about him, he started to grow on me. I think that Ehlena is a good match for him as she has hidden strength that we find out about. The war with the lessors seems to be heating up, and I ma glad the Lash is out in the open now. Loved. It.

While I still found the language, acronyms and phrasing jarring at times (I’m outtie – Really? Mine’s innie. And 'za? Come on. That one just irritated me for the rest of the novel), this is Ward back at her (OTT) best and I loved every minute of it.

Ehlena just might be my favourite female in the series. She really evolved from my first impressions and was a multi-dimensional character full of contradictions who really rang true to me. And Rhev? Oooeee!

"Life is such a glorious trauma."

I just loved this book, Rehv was as awesome as i thought he would be, so interesting and amusing. gotta love him, drug dealer, pimp, Simpath and all...
You see, when i come across a very good book, i stay up all night until im finished with it. But with this book? it was sooo gooood i made my self go to sleep because i didnt want it to end. It was that good.

Cant wait to John and Xehx story in april 2010. Lover Mine here i come. ...more

Better than #5 or #6, but not quite as good as the first three books. Rehv and Ehlena were nice, but the storyline was cluttered with lessers.
