I was interested in seeing how this book came together and just how Ian was going to react to his dead wife being back.

I had to admire how Charlie went after Ian, she laid herself on the line and often threw away her pride in order to get what she wanted. I hated how during those times Ian kept crapping on Charlie. I get that he was hurt, that Charlie betrayed him, but her reason was one that Ian should have gotten because he made the same choice with Sean.

I really loved Ian's and Charlotte's story! It's been building for a while and the bombshell that dropped at the end of the last book had me chomping at the bit to read this installment. I kind of waffled on the rating...the overall story, their smoking-hot chemistry, and the intrigue were the points that pushed this to the five-star rating...the reason I might have taken one star away was because there seemed to be a lot of repetitiveness from both Ian and Charlie while processing past events, ...more
