Yea! New Laurenston Series! Woo hoo!
This book has all the things I love about Laurenston's books-snark, humor, pop culture reference, fierce heroines, heroes that love that their women are badass.
It also has the fun of being in LA, mythology, and an awesome dog. I adore Vig.
It struggles a bit with the introduction of so many characters, the setting up of the world and less of a focus on falling in love than I would like.

I am a huge fan of G.A. Aiken's dragons... but I sometimes forget that she also writes under Shelly Laurenston. This is the first Laurenston book that I am reading... and the writing style seems a bit different, if that makes sense.

First of all...I hate it when the cover does not match the description of the hero and or heroine. And this cover was so off the mark it should make the publisher & cover designer hang their head in shame.
Off my soapbox. I liked the characters, however, some of them had more than one name, so it was very hard to follow who was who. Which, in turn made the story hard to follow.
