Thomas Perry is a top drawer writer. He uses lyrical, literary style in the thriller/suspense genre; another technique is the twists and surprising denouements.
Strip, however, is completely different style from anything I have read by Mr. Perry, and I didn't care for it. In a sense, it is slapstick - a parody of true crime/mob novels.
