Mr. Bell's stories keep getting better, and the action stays at a fast pace, from locale to locale. The supporting characters are getting more complex, even though the story line remains hugely reminiscent of Ian Fleming's "James Bond" - unfortunately sometimes, the theatrical version. Alex Hawke is a bit more human than James Bond, and is definitely not a loner. One unfortunate similarity between Hawke and Bond is their poor choice of sidearms.
