Victor is at it again (so to speak). This time he's involved in something that has roots in his past...a past we still know very little about. Tom Wood has created a protagonist here who manages to be the best at what he does yet doesn't come off in the least as a "Gary Stu" type character. We are always (for some reason) rooting for him. Good one. Another one where the ending wraps up quickly and the fight battle scenes are fantastic.
Some funny bit with certain scenes wherei had to go back to check if I had Mis-read something. But I put that down to plot moving along quickly and the writer not remembering the environment. Great read!!.

Victor has agreed to help Norimov a former employer who was a traitor to him. But his wife who died had been nice to Victor and he will do anything for her. So protecting her daughter from threats - he will do for Norimov's wife and Gisele's mother(it is his step daughter )

Not up to par with previous novels by author. Seemed to take a long time for "anything" to happen.
