I like Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp Character. You get action but the character is more fully imagined than some. Of course it took a few books to fill him out and it seems that he may be somehow distantly related to the Cartwright family of the Ponderosa. (view spoiler)

I understand the urge as a writer to fill more in on your icon's back story, but this book was unnecessary in the series. Vince could have filled in the first 1/3 of this book as flash backs through a current one and interweave the background them that way and be just as effective.

Another great Mitch Rapp novel! This one explains how it all started and filled in some of the holes that I always wanted/needed to know. If your a Vince Flynn fan this is a must read. I can't wait for the next installment... Long live Mitch Rapp!
