I understand the urge as a writer to fill more in on your icon's back story, but this book was unnecessary in the series. Vince could have filled in the first 1/3 of this book as flash backs through a current one and interweave the background them that way and be just as effective.

Another great Mitch Rapp novel! This one explains how it all started and filled in some of the holes that I always wanted/needed to know. If your a Vince Flynn fan this is a must read. I can't wait for the next installment... Long live Mitch Rapp! ...more

While the book was enjoable, I was expecting a little more suspense on the Rapp side. His training felt like it was glossed over and I was kind of hoping for an interrogation lead by Mitch or even Stan.

Book - good book - have missed Mitch and liked this look at history as how Mitch started out with the agency and Kennedy.
