I liked the novel.
It did not blow me away, but David Wise did the best he could with the material. If you read fictional spy drama this might be a bit slow going, because a true depiction cannot be sensationalized and is not 'sexy'.
I have come away with a greater appreciation for the intelligence community. You cannot fully trust anyone. That is a hard existence.
