What Members Thought

I like it that the setting of the book is different from that of the Alchemist, as well as the lessons implied in this book of his. The characters as well as the interactions with one another are intentionally set up to be a little unusual but one would strangely find that in this crazy world this could be pretty much expected anyway because it opens the possibility that we in fact desire to be crazy in our own way that gives us comfort and solace in this world.

I came to Paul's book while I was in Poland, visiting a friend. She suggested that I read some Coelho books. I can't remember the title of the first Coelho books. After coming back to the USA, I seek out more of his books. This is not my favorite of his books. The Alchemist is the best. I find his writing infectious and very easy to read for some reason. I can only attributed it to his own brand of mysticism.
