I totally forgot that Dr. Frankenstein was the name of the monster's creator! I've been calling the monster by that name when all along I don't think he had a name other than "creature."
The monster's first tragedy seemed innocent, unintentional ... he only wanted acceptance. When he understood the result of his actions he developed fear and learned to cover his tracks ... cast blame. He began to mistrust and then he began to seek revenge, wanted payback ... tried bribery.
