So, I've been putting off this review mostly for lazyness reasons. So I decided to do a quick "What I liked- didn't like" type of thing.
What I liked:
- The world. I thought it was really interesting, it had a different kind of atmosphere to it. I don't know, it just felt different than other fantasy worlds I've read about before. Even though they're all gonna have some similarities, this had a certain uniqueness to it. Maybe because it's based off of Russia, and you don't usually see fantasy book ...more

Anyways..... this book series was written before the Six of Crows series and lets say the author outdid herself out there because while this book seems like any other YA ... the latter was better, more realistic, and deeper in conveying meaning....Shadow and Bone was a bit shallow the author did not go inside a character's mind and ...more


Shadow and Bone was so freaking good. Amazing storyline, wonderful characters and unexpected plot twists.
The love triangle was kinda weird because I liked both the guys and I was switching from one to the other till the revelation (view spoiler)
