I just absolutely love these books. I always find when I am reading them they just genuinely make me feel good.

Alexia seems to have no fear. No matter what her situation, eight months pregnant and all she is out trying to bring peace to the supernatural world. Our intrepid preternatural is back. Despite being hampered by the 'infant-inconvenience', Alexia is up to her neck in trouble - from vampires trying to kill her to saving the queen.

I enjoyed this installment better than the previous one, maybe because the other characters get more page time, not to mention, secrets from their pasts.

As usual, Carriger's prose is filled with wit and sarcasm, and everything reads better with a steaming cup of tea.
