So much went on this book that would count as a spoiler for me to write about, that I'm finding this review tough. While the book starts off with Cat and Bones happily holidaying, things never run smoothly for our beloved couple for very long. Before starting this book this is what I thought I remembered happening Justina became a vampire, Rodney dies but I also thought he took Justina off when she had been changed and cared for her...., Cat becomes a vampire who's heart still beat, there was a big fight and Cat was either part of it or someone was trying to manipulate her or test her in some way to prove she was a vampire? Well, I was sort of right, but mostly not and I guess the most telling thing is again, I didn't remember the Dreamsnatcher, which is the big bad in this book.

This book covers a lot of ground in story, timeline and mileage. Gregor is claiming that Cat is really his wife and that Bones has stolen her. By law that is a crime punishable by death. So our dynamic duo set off to fight again. (view spoiler)
Noticeably absent are the whole military gang. I mean they all make slight appearances but mostly they were gone. I guess having Gregor, Tate and Vlad all snarling over pieces of Cat would have been too much and I agree. At least Gregor has other motives for want Cat, because I just don't believe she's that great that everyone wants her. Also absent is a lot of Cat & Bones. They spend a lot of the book estranged or at least apart and so there isn't much in the way of interaction except occasion sex scenes, but there is A LOT of crazy Cat inner dialogue that I could have done without. I know later it's all I'm sorrys and making up, but I was 100% behind bones and his Cat smackdown. Sadly I agreed with everything he said about her.

I would still like to know what of the fourth friend. I wonder what has become of him or if we'll ever find out. I would like to know now that there are so many characters where they all go from here? I know Vlad is getting his own series so that will thin the heard a little, but the cast of characters is pretty big now and I would like to know more about them. I want to know what the heck are Tate, Juan and Dave doing now that Cat is away. And what is that team now? Will Cooper ever change over? I want to know what became of poor Noah the vet, now is he safe from the supernatural?

If there is going to be less Cat and Bones I would rather not get stuck staying with Cat anymore is basically what I'm saying. When there isn't Cat & Bones and I'd like to see the rest of the folks. And know what is going on inside their heads. Plus I'd also like to see Cat give a crap about something other than herself for a change. I know how everyone in the books says she acts- out of bravery or to save her loved ones, but 90% of the time from listening to her thoughts as she does things- it pretty much sound like she just does what she wants because she's stubborn. ...more

Amazing fourth book in this series. I liked how it was a new twist in the plot with the relationships and plot. Even though at times I was a bit frustrated at times I couldn't put it down. I love Cat and Bones but I also got really attached to Vald in this book. I know Vald is a huge character and is wrote about alot, but I loved how he's portrayed in this series and at times I felt sad for him. I like Cat and Vald's friendship and I hope to see more of him in future books. I like how there's go ...more

Wow! I didn't think this series was just going to keep getting better and better. The story was exciting and the characters stayed fresh. I loved all of the characters whether they be good or bad. The author makes it so easy to love and hate them all at the same time. I just don't think I will ever be able to get enough of Bones!!
