I loved this one! What a great ending to the trilogy. I was in love with Derek the moment I met him in The Summoning. He truly made this series for me. I am a big fan of the underdog...it's funny how that literally translates to this book!

Chloe, Derek, Simon and Tori were a wonderful bunch... oh and I can't forget Liz. She played a big part too! I love the whole idea of the paranormal experimentation on kids. It's new and refreshing and a little scary to think about what might actually be goign ...more

A wonderful wrap up to the Darkest Powers trilogy of Chloe, Derek, Simon, Torie and Liz. I must admit that I forgot a few things in the year between books (a certain demi-demon), but was able to pick most of it right up. As with the second book, time wasn't wasted in building up the basic story line, as we jump in right where the last book ended. There was a lot of action, a bit of romance and even a couple of truly creepy bits (what do you expect with a powerful necromancer?).
