Already a fan of Mead's Vampire Academy series, I was excited to see if her adult series are as good as her YA ones. I was not disappointed. I loved Georgina and her wit and charm and her conflict over her life as an unwilling succubus. Her motley crew of friends include vampires, imps and angels, making for an unusual and entertaining group. Georgina has two very different but appealing male interests for Georgina in Seth and Roman. I was surprised to find that although I had a favorite, I actu

Another great start to a series by Richelle Mead. I have already read her other two series ( Vampire Academy and Dark Swan). I loved them both... and I'm on my way to loving this one as well.
Georgina Kincaid is a succubus who would rather be human. She wants meaningful relationships with humans, but being a succubus makes that near impossible.

Succubus Blues is the promising debut novel by new author Richelle Mead. Richelle Mead's Succubus Blues is a book that kicks off another urban fantasy series. If you like supernatural themes this is the one to read. It's got everything, action, romance, humor and great plots.
Georgina Kincaid is tired of being an imortal succubus. She wishes she can give up her gig and settle down, fall in love and have a family. She also has a crush on thriller writer Seth Mortensen which isn't helping. But she' ...more

The first installment in the Georgina Kincaid series was great. I really like Richelle Mead's writing style. She can craft a story really well and usually, I just can't put her books down. Georgina is a succubus that hates her job, she only wants to take life-force of bad humans with low morals, and even then, you only see her do so twice in the book. I was really intrigued by her and Seth and I have a secret theory that he's her first husband reincarnated. I wasn't surprised at all the Roman wa

A great mix of humor, darkness and sex, Succubus Blues has been one of my favorite books in a while. The writing style is perfect, light but with a dark and sexy edge to it. It's like reading chick lit for goths or something. I can't wait to read the next one!
