The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2) in Vampire Academy Lovers

The Golden Lily didn't fail in any sense of the word.

Bloodlines set it up and I was so ecstatic to read that book that once it was over I automatically craved the next and finally that time came and now I am craving the third. For me, that is the sign of a truly talented author.

Richelle Mead has given light to her sencondary characters from The Vampire Academy series and made them standouts in her Bloodlines series and for me it couldn't be a better thing for her to do. The Golden Lily shed ligh The Golden Lily didn't fail in any sense of the word.

The Golden Lily shed light onto things that we were left with at the end of Bloodlines. Obviously the major part was the romance side of it but I still found that as much of a focus point that was for this story, the action and main goal that the book was focused around was still front and centre and that was never forgotten.

Now, I'll get this out of the way...ADRIAN!! SYDNEY!! AHHHHH!!! <3<3<3 My inner fangirl just had to get that out in some way. I had to have been one of the many people who had internal fits of swooning. These two are perfect for each other and the tension between them both is killing me and making me speed read through it at the same time. I love that Adrian is as out there about his feelings for Sydney as he dares to be because of her fears and concerns and that Sydney is blissfully unaware of his advances and of her own. Every part of this story that they are together in just becomes magical because whether they like it or not, there is chemistry and such a spark like that is not going to fade quickly. I hope Sydney breaks some rules. Truly, I do.

Okay, that aside, the rest of the story had secrets and mysteries tangled throughout and that is another part that kept me reading well into the night. All of what we have discovered from the first two books is just going to keep growing and get even better because Richelle Mead could make it as big as she wants it to be and at the rate she is divulging information, it is only going to get even more interesting and hard to put down.

As a brief summary, the other characters, Eddie, Angeline, Brayden, Jill, Adrian, Dimitri, Sonya and Trey ( I hope I didn't forget anyone) all are standouts in their own way. They all have their little paths that branch off into areas we want to know about and it reminds you that there is so much to this story that what we realise. Really, it is so hard to remind yourself when reading this book that it is only fiction because it has such a life to it that feels so, so real.

All in all, another stellar book from Richelle Mead. All I can say is that she better type fast and get the third book out in record time because my poor little fangirl heart just can't wait so long! ...more

I loved this book even more than the first. And if you know me, you know how much I loved the first book. If I could give it 1 million stars I would.
The ending. Oh my God. It had me in tears, even though I knew there was no chance it was ending any differently.

I absolutely adore the Vampire Academy series and loved Bloodlines just as much! The Golden Lillie started out as a slow read for me but I gradually fell in-love with it just like the others. I wanted there to be more interactions with Adrian and Sydney of course but what was given was still great. Can't wait for the next book!!!❤ ...more
