The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2) in Vampire Academy Lovers

I have finally finished reading the golden lily after months of pining and it exceeded all my expectations! it was amazing and perfect and too good to describe!

Adrian and Sydney are back even more awesome than before if that were possible. Sydney has evolved into a much greater character;she is slightly less uptight and definitely not prejudiced against vampires anymore. She still has the same socially awkward behavior but its sooo adorable - Especially when she was going on her first date, i wa I have finally finished reading the golden lily after months of pining and it exceeded all my expectations! it was amazing and perfect and too good to describe!

Adrian and Sydney are back even more awesome than before if that were possible. She still has the same socially awkward behavior but its sooo adorable - Especially when she was going on her first date, i was in tears of laughter! she is so caring and sweet and smart, I honestly dont know how anyone can dislike her and now she is offcially one of my fav protaganists ever!

Adrian was funny as ever! always cracking jokes, but for a change we get to see a more vulnerable side to him in the scene with his father and his insecurites when it comes to spirit. It was great seeing his protective side when it came to sydney. He is perfcection incarnate. He is the definition of charming and cute and no amount of my gushing will do him justice!

i loved how he would do random things to get sydneys attention. The relationship between him and sydney was the highlight of the book and i would swoon and melt into a puddle of drool when those two were around each other. i cant believe how obvious adrian makes his feeling towards her but she is STILL CLUELESS! i admit somethimes i wanted to slap her cuz of her obliviousness! They share loads of amazing scenes together and they are electric. Even the most subtle thing is swoon-worthy <3 They bring out each others best and balance each other perfectly.

The other characters are back with their own romantic dilemas. Jill is dating micah while eddie is being tormented by angeline. even trey has his eye on someone!Eddie is still my fav side charcter and i just wanna give him a big hug all the time. Angeline's addition was nice and she grew on me a lot half way through the book. Trey is awesome playing a much bigger part this time around. I love trey and sydneys friendship, and their scenes always cracked me up to, especially when he is talking about giving brayden "the talk" before their first date. Brayden was just as bad as sydney socially if not worse and their awkward scenes had me rolling on the floor wiping the tears from my eyes!

There is a decent amount of action in this book, not much as it is more about the characters, however it didnt bother me as i lived for sydrian moments. The last third is when things speed up and it leads to the showdown.

The last scene was mind blowing! i had been waiting for that to happen since i finished bloodlines. It was HOT and sweet and amazing! however that scene broke my heart! i cant believe that adrian keeps getting hurt over and over. i will anxiously be waiting for the next book to see how their dynamic changes and hope they work things out soon after sydney breaking his heart.

He gave me a look of mock surprise. "You mean you arent already? And here i thought you were dazzled from the momemnt you met me"

AMAZING.
The entire book pulled me to continue reading. I loved Sydney's character, every few chapters there would be an intense moment which I loved. There is a deep connection between Sydney and Adrian and I loveeee when Adrian tries to find excuses to see her. It's adorable...But I HATE. HATE. HATE THE LAST 3 PAGES... SYDNEY YOU ARE SO STUPID. :'( ...more

If you need a book that makes your heart race, blood pound, and mind spin then this is the book for you. Read the first book before though, Bloodlines.
