This is one of the few books I have reread, there are so many out there on the market to take the time to reread, but this is one of those few worth it.
This is such a delightful book, so well written, so many detailed descriptions throughout and well researched. The characters are loveable as you follow through their life during a number of years. After many months of reading - a few pages here and there so it would last longer:) - I finally managed to finish this wonderful book. I am extremely grateful to my cousin for giving me as a present the Spanish version of it. I loved it, and even if I was a bit disappointed by the end, Zafon's writing is so special that I forgive him anything.

The list of suggested books at the end of the book - like The Name of the Rose, The Dumas Club, or Great Expectations - is pretty self-explanatory. A great literary mystery hunt that is satisfying all the way to the end.
