the plot is interesting yet some parts are too annoyingly long

Umberto eco writes a gripping, exciting story which is at the same time a lecture and commentary on conspiracy theories and secret society throughout western history. One should have some general overview of the various societies such as Rosicrucians, Freemasons, Thule Society etc. before starting this book.
