I think I should have read this much earlier in life. Kept changing my opinion of Holden. I expected to like it better since I have read other Salinger books and liked them very much.
I read this book because it was on a "classics" list. I finished and wondered what in the world I was missing. So I went on the internet and read a book review about it and it said that this book was one of the best books of the 20th century. I didn't get it at all. Maybe my brain isn't deep enough. I had read this in high school and again for a book club challenge. I enjoyed it more this time with out the worksheets and tests. The swearing may offend some but, it is part of the story and goes with the make up of the book. Sorry it's been banned from so many schools.

I can't read this book again. I read it in high school and I tried to do a re-read of this book and I can't get past page 25. It is a classic, but I cannot read this again.
