Well this was fun to read, written to feel like you are reading a real life young girls journal right to the very unsatisfying, unfinished end. Easy to identify with but sad as she slowly gives up her childhood a little piece at a time. If it were me I would have preferred to keep on doing my summer solstice ritual and talking to an imaginary person and writing in my journal (though I did also end my journal almost the same way, this made me want to go and finish it off properly). Never have I seen a more honest and sincere book. The whole idea of being tremendously poor yet living in a castle in amazing, plus it has superb romantic intrigue.

This is a young person´s book but the main character is obsessed with Elizabeth and Darcy so I could not help but love her.

Not my favorite. I started out really liking this book, but about halfway through I felt like the main character was a complete moron and just felt annoyed by her for the rest of the book.
