What Members Thought
This should be mandatory reading....though I fear few would really get it. It's too easy to do what is easy, fun, and self-indulgent. But, I guess that boils down to a state of mind. I find reading easy, fun, and self-indulgent!

Been ages since I read this, remember liking it at the time but probably need to read again at some point
I would have preferred to read this book rather than listen to it as an audiobook, but then I realized that it was never getting to the top of my pile of books that I would like to read. While this book is well-written, it simply did not hit as hard as when I read 1984 and Brave New World (probably my favorite). Just like Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and Orwell's 1984, this book gives a rather bleak forecast of the future. Considering the time it was written (1953) it is frightening there are quite a few accurate predictions. I wouldn't say it is a pleasure to read, but it certainly gives you food for thought.

Somewhat complicated at times. I'm not entirely sure if I liked it or hated it. A book I would want to re-read again and ponder more on. Now to read The Anthem and write the essay comparing the two.
